Crochet Lace
In this installation I intended to create a space the viewer must experience upon entering and exiting the exhibition. This space represents the purity of our state of being at birth and death. The deconstructed lace table cloth and the expanding netting reference the romanticized and rationalized ideas held about this very unknown period of our lives. As the cloth increases in distance from the point of origin it becomes increasingly fragmented and distorted.
